Alvin & The Chipmunks17/01/2008

Went to see this film last night and I must admit it was a lot better than I was expecting. Granted it was cheesy but the singing chipmunks did amuse. However I think the reason we found it so funny was because we saw a unbelievable likeness between Theodore and Jersey. Of course this prompted a bit of Photoshop action:

Had to be done! I must admit I do think Fish should have been Simon as she is (though I hate to say it) the most intelligent, however my face fitted a little better and I had the picture with the glasses and Simons jumper is blue which swung it!

It's been a while!15/01/2008

Ok so it?s been quite a while since my last blog. I always think about blogging but never seem to get round to it, it seems to be the trend of late. Things are busy, very busy! Work is time consuming, more so because I feel like I am talking to the wall mostly where people continue to do things wrong even though I have told them and Orange & O2, well there is one word for them...Muppets. I am so sick of them not talking to each other its unbearable, one person says one thing another something else by the end of it I?m not sure what day of the week it is let alone the answer to my question! Anyway enough of work.

Life in general is ok, house is good but expensive I still think the council tax is too much for what you get and I am almost positive British Gas are charging too much for electric and gas. Our new TV (which I thought was a bargain) turned out not to be...it was a Hannspree Xs-v and all was well until we attempted to watch a DVD but half of the sound was missing (and I don?t exaggerate) we found its actually a problem with Hannspree?s that low frequency sound is not picked up from external sources. So that has gone back to ebuyer. Hopefully we will get a refund and we have already picked out another one from a shop this time and a known brand. I'm fairly certain this is definitely the way to go. However, whilst trying to fix this sound problem we thought it was the DVD player and J bought a HDMI upscaler which should arrive this week (shame we couldn?t cancel it when we found out it was the TV hehehe) so that's cool.

Another slightly annoying occurrence was that my PSU appears to have given up. I came to turn my PC on Friday and nothing. Very strange. Unfortunately a replacement is costing ?70 and I had to get such an expensive one because my case is BTX and having temporarily put a spare one in I noted that half the leads don?t reach! Bugger. Anyway that arrives Thursday so cest la vie.

We did get a new sofabed which turned up last weekend and has taken up residence in the conservatory so at least people have a more comfortable place to sleep when they stay over.

Speaking of which, hoping to visit Jude & Chris this weekend in Manchester to see their new place?which reminds me I really must text Jude about that!

Not a good start to the week...05/11/2007

So I'm sitting in traffic as I normally do on a Monday morning just at the junction where the M54 meets the M6 (10A for those who are interested), and note that something tastes funny...I rub my nose and low and behold blood...so I think great this is just what I need in the rush hour traffic.

Now to make matters worse I start looking around in my car for anything that might possibly be used as a tissue and suprise suprise there is nothing, at this point a big lorry lets me in, very nice of him but it does mean I need to move and try not to get blood everywhere. Needless to say I didnt succeed. Thankfully it didnt last long but unfortunately my shirt doubled as the only absorbant material I could find as well as my hands so it kinda looked like I'd been stabbed!

Thinking that I didnt really fancy sitting around all day in a blood stained shirt I text Mark to see if he had a spare one that he had shrunk (and was likely to not bury me!), thankfully he did.

So it was an interesting start to the week I wonder what is to follow!
